World Cup: List of Kenyan influencers who have raised the Kenyan Flag high in Qatar

Kenyans who traveled to Qatar for the World Cup have been lighting up the mood on the internet as they enjoy the football tournament.

The national team Harambee Stars has never participated in the FIFA World Cup. This has however not deemed the excitement that comes with the biggest sporting event in the world among Kenyans.

Aware that their national team never makes the number, Kenyans have taken to supporting African or other world teams that they can easily relate to. 

Traveling notwithstanding, many Kenyans have been glued to their screens as the world cup continues in Qatar.

Some of the Kenyan influencers and celebrities that are visiting the host nation have already created some memorable moments that have sparked hilarious reactions from people globally.

Here is a list of Kenyans who have raised the Kenyan flag high in Qatar.

1. Jackie Vike alias Awinja

The former Papa Shirandula actress Awinja wowed netizens with her moves as she tango danced with a mzungu man during a World Cup match in Qatar.

Awinja was also spotted hawking aphrodisiac mukhombero to football fanatics outside one of the technologically advanced stadiums.

2. Terence Creative

Comedian Terence Creative amused netizens after he was seen teaching a popular Kikuyu song to wazungu football fans in Qatar.

The funnyman also went viral for his hilarious skit where he mimicked a Kenyan hawker inside a Qatari metro.

5. Michael Olunga

Harambee Stars’ lethal strike Michael Olunga plies his professional football playing in the Arab League and was much at home as he enjoyed football matches.

The celebrated freely mingled with his fans and shared a snap of himself happily hanging out with YouTuber Mungai Eve.

5. Eve Mungai

Another big name that made the trip to Qatar is Eve Mungai. She did not document much while she was there to watch the World Cup.

6. Metro Man

Abubakar Abbas alias Metro man went viral with how he directed soccer fans and tourists to the metro for an easier commute.

In an interview, Metro man revealed he landed the job in Qatar after nearly missing out on an interview.

After his video went viral, the Qatari government honored Metro man and extended his visa to the country.

The comedian has grown to become an influencer to reckon with.

He was actively involved in selling brand OdiBets days prior to the World Cup and it comes as no surprise he made the cut to be in the tournament.
