Men’s mental health: Men do face challenges in life but they tend to hold them in.
Maybe it is because of the fear that they will be judged by society; they will be viewed as weak or that they will lose their value as men.
Some of the challenges faced by men include:
- Financial issues.
- Marital issues
- Relationship/social issues
- Work-Related issues
- Physical health issues
- Social expectations from men
This leads to some effects and changes in behavior. They tend to find consolation for their sorrows, fear and issues in beer bottles, substance use in excessive quantities, domestic violence, fight involvements, suicidal ideations and suicidal attempts.
Instead, we should try to incorporate our men back into society.
